Our classroom expectations are:
1. Listen and follow directions quickly and quietly.
2. Do your best work.
3. Be safe.
4. Be respectful of people and property.
We have these expectations to protect the rights of every student and staff member to learn, to feel safe and to enjoy school.
The consequences are:
1. Warning
2. Time Out
3. Letter Home
During the first two weeks of school, students have opportunities to develop an understanding of the expectations, procedures and school rules. We spend time rehearsing them in different contexts. Warranted letters home will not be sent until the third week of school. The letter home is intended FOR COMMUNICATION PURPOSES ONLY. I appreciate you supporting classroom behaviour by discussing the note with your child, signing the note and returning it the next school day. ADDITIONAL CONSEQUENCES AT HOME ARE GENERALLY UNNECESSARY.
